Standoff at Jersey Jewelry Store Ends

Swat teams leave scene of attempted robbery after 6 hours

A police standoff at a Vineland, NJ jewelry store is over, but investigators aren't releasing any details about how it ended.

SWAT teams were called in after two suspects tried to rob the Dondero jewelry store at 2439 North Delsea Drive.

The owner was able to escape. Police were unsure if the thieves were holed up inside or had escaped into nearby woods.

Roads in the area were closed and neighboring homes were evacuated.
