A woman told Philadelphia Police she was assaulted overnight in a neighborhood recently struck by a series of sex assaults.
Philadelphia Police Special Victims officers said the woman was assaulted late Wednesday night near Longshore Avenue and the Roosevelt Boulevard (Route 1) in Northeast Philadelphia’s Mayfair neighborhood.
Police spent the early hours of Thursday interviewing the victim.
It wasn't clear if the victim suffered any injuries.
Police said an initial investigation made it appear the attack wasn’t connected to two earlier attacks in the same area.
