Man killed by train in Philly subway tunnel

Police say a person is dead after being struck by a subway train beneath the streets of Center City Philadelphia.

SEPTA halted service on part of its Market-Frankford Line for a little more than two hours after a subway train struck a man around 5:45 a.m. Thursday. Some trolley lines were also affected.

Officials say about 100 passengers had to be evacuated from the train after it struck the man near 22nd Street.

Authorities did not immediately release more information about the man who was killed.
