SEPTA Officer's Gun Stolen From AC Casino

Police say the officer’s gun was loaded with hollow-point bullets when it was taken from Bally’s.

Atlantic City police are searching for the person who they say stole an officer’s gun and badge from a casino lobby early Thursday morning, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

The Press reports that the victim was a SEPTA officer and that both the badge and gun were inside a bag when they were stolen from Bally’s Park Place.

The gun was loaded with 15 hollow point bullets, police told the paper.

It is unknown why the SEPTA officer had his gun with him while he was off-duty.

Police describe the suspect as a dark-skinned black male with a beard wearing a black T-shirt and jeans. Cops say he is 30 to 40 years old and between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8, according to the Press of AC.
