Rutgers officials say a record-setting crowd turned out to get an up-close look at the university and its many offerings.
School officials say an estimated 91,000 people came out Saturday for "Rutgers Day."
The annual festival featured hundreds of events and programs sponsored by schools, departments, institutes, centers and student organizations. It was staged at the university's campuses in New Brunswick.
Each campus focused on specific topics to showcase student talents and program offerings.

Among this year's featured events was the "Tent of Big Ideas," staged by the School of Arts and Sciences. Faculty members presented short, thought-provoking talks on several topics ranging from autism to the theologies of Bruce Springsteen.
Visitors also had the chance to test their athletic skills at a "Mini Combine" hosted by student-athletes.
