Robbery Suspect Leaves Wallet at Scene

Robber stole a man’s wallet while dropping his own at the crime scene, say police

New Castle County police are searching for a robbery suspect who allegedly stole a man’s wallet while dropping his own wallet at the crime scene.

Police obtained the man’s name, age and home address from the contents of his wallet.

Police say detectives have arrest warrants for 20-year-old Edwin Diaz-Davila of the 2700 block of Lancaster Avenue in Wilmington who is wanted on robbery charges.

Officials say he and two others assaulted and robbed a 32-year-old man of his wallet and cell phone Monday night on Mary Ella Drive, and also assaulted the man's roommate who tried to help. Officers found the two victims bleeding with injuries to their head and face.

Investigators later found a wallet at the scene belonging to Diaz-Davila.

If you have any information on Diaz-Davila’s whereabouts, or the identity of the two other suspects, call New Castle County Police at (302) 395-8110.
