Robbers Target Wilmington Gas Station: Cops

Investigators say it happened Saturday at 6:15 p.m. at the Shell Gas Station on the 4500 block of Kirkwood Highway.

Police are searching for two men who they say robbed a gas station in Wilmington, Delaware.

Investigators say it happened Saturday at 6:15 p.m. at the Shell Gas Station on the 4500 block of Kirkwood Highway. Two men with their faces covered by scarves entered the gas station store and approached the 29-year-old employee standing behind the counter, according to investigators.

One suspect allegedly pointed a gun at the clerk and ordered him to get on the floor. Police say the suspect then stole money from the register as well as cigarettes before fleeing in an unknown direction. No one was injured during the incident, according to investigators.

The armed suspect is described as a black male wearing dark-colored pants, a Grey hooded sweatshirt and a scarf over his face. The second suspect is described as a white male wearing dark-colored pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a scarf covering his face.
