Robbers Hit Gloucester County Gas Station, Drag Accomplice with Getaway Car

A gunman donning a "CSI" sweatshirt and a female accomplice barged into a Gloucester County gas station early Thursday morning, and stole money, cigarettes and lottery tickets.

Surveillance video shows the pair storming into the Gastrol Plus Service Station, located at 5440 Black Horse Pike, Washington Township, around 1:45 a.m. Thursday and pointing a gun directly at the store clerk.

The armed robbers then demanded cash, scratch off lottery tickets and cigarettes, police said.

The duo ran out to a waiting getaway car -- which nearly took out one of the suspects, the surveillance footage shows.

As the woman tried to jump in the rear door on the driver's side, the car began to speed away without her inside -- dragging her a few feet before she collapsed to the ground, the video shows.

The driver has not been identified.

Aside from the "CSI" sweatshirt, the gunman was wearing yellow gloves, jeans and gray sneakers, police said. The woman was wearing a black and pink North Face sweatshirt and gray sweatpants with "Pink" on the backside, investigators said.

Anyone with information on the crime or the suspects' identities is urged to contact Washington Township Police Det. Lisa Frattali at 856-589-0330 or lmfrattali@pd.twp.washington.nj.us.
