Robber Targets Radnor Bank: Cops

Police say Michael Hamilton robbed a bank in Radnor Township on Tuesday.

Police are searching for a man who they say robbed a bank in Radnor Township. Police responded to the Sovereign Bank on 2 Aldwyn Lane in the Villanova section of the town on Tuesday.

Police say Michael Hamilton entered the bank and presented a note to the teller demanding money while indicating he was armed. Hamilton was then given an undetermined amount of cash and fled the bank on foot in an easterly direction, according to investigators. Police say there were no customers in the bank at the time and no employees were injured.

Hamilton is described as a white male in his early to late 20’s with scruffy facial hair standing at 6-foot-1. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath a dark jacket, black Aeropostale sweat pants and white sneakers.

“We’re again asking for the community’s help in forwarding information in regards to where Mr. Hamilton is so that no one gets hurt,” said Sergeant George Smith of the Radnor Township Police Department.
