Philadelphia Police released a sketch Friday of a man, accused of a violent attack on a 24-year-old woman, and robbing her at knife-point.
Police say the robbery happened around 11 p.m. Monday along the 2000 block of Rittenhouse Square in the Rittenhouse section of the Center City.
The suspect -- believed to be between 30 and 35 years old -- was hiding in some bushes when he approached the victim from behind and asked for a cigarette, police said.
He quickly began to attack the woman and demanded money -- banging her head into the wall of a nearby building and fracturing her face, according to authorities.
The man then pulled out a knife and began slashing the woman. The victim suffered cuts to the head, neck, chest, arms and hands as he sliced through her clothes, police said.
She was out of the hospital as of Friday.
The suspect made off with cash, credit and debit cards.
