A northeastern Pennsylvania borough is naming the road between its community center and Little League fields after a state trooper killed in a barracks ambush last September.
Dunmore says it will dedicate Cpl. Bryon K. Dickson II Way on Saturday. Dickson lived in Dunmore and his sons play baseball at the borough fields.
State Sen. Lisa Baker has introduced a bill to name an Interstate 84 exit for the slain trooper.
The 38-year-old Dickson was killed and Trooper Alex Douglass was severely wounded Sept. 12 outside the Blooming Grove barracks.
Police arrested 31-year-old survivalist Eric Frein after a 48-day manhunt in the Pocono Mountains. Frein told police Dickson's slaying was an "assassination."
He's pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder, terrorism and other charges. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
