Driver Shoots Man in Road Rage Incident in Lawncrest Section of Philadelphia, Police Say

The victim was taken to Einstein Hospital where he is in stable condition.

Police are searching for a driver accused of shooting a man in a road rage incident in the Lawncrest section of Philadelphia Monday night.

The suspect was parked in the middle of the road on the 800 block of Passmore Street around 8 p.m., police said. A 47-year-old man who was a passenger inside a car that was being blocked then got out and yelled at the suspect, telling him to move his vehicle.

The suspect then allegedly got out of the car and shot the man in the right thigh before fleeing the scene. 

The 47-year-old victim was taken to Einstein Hospital where he is in stable condition.

Police have not released a description of the suspect or his vehicle. They continue to investigate.
