Reward for Tips in Good Samaritan Killing

A reward is being offered in an effort to get someone to come forward with the name of the killer of Abe Farkas.

The Farkas family are asking for all donations to be sent to a reward fund they have set up, instead of to a peace center as they originally asked.

“Everyone in the Chester neighborhood knows who the killer is, yet virtually no tips are coming in,” said the family of Abe Farkas, the Good Samaritan killed earlier in the month.

Farkas, 56, was a former San Diego police officer, Vietnam veteran and served in the Peace Corps. He was well known in Chester for selling groceries out of a truck in the supermarket-less community.
