Drivers beware! One lane will be closed on portions of U.S. Route 1 for large periods of time for five consecutive days beginning June 23.
One lane in each direction will be shut down on City Avenue between Bala Avenue and Ridge Avenue from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and again from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. from June 23 to June 27, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
During the closures, crews will complete base repairs as part of PennDOT's $2.8 million project ro repair and resurface nearly five miles of Route 1.
PennDOT officials expect to finish the resurfacing in mid-July.
