Tens of thousands are still without power in the local region Tuesday as utility companies work around the clock to restore all.
In southeastern Pennsylvania more than 54,000 customers are still in the dark. In South Jersey 34,000 are without power. Delaware has 4,400 waiting for the lights to come on.
A PECO spokesperson said that they have already restored 450,000 since Hurricane Irene hit early Sunday morning.
The entire state of New Jersey has 342,521 homes and businesses going into their third day without power.
Spokespersons at area utility companies say power will restored to all "soon."
