Report: Philadelphia's Neighborhood is Top Bike-Friendly Downtown in U.S.

Two new reports back up previous findings about Philadelphia's relationship with bicyclists with one ranking the entire city as the 9th most bike-friendly in the U.S. and another pegging the section known as Center City West as the most bikeable downtown in the country.

Philadelphia has 16 cyclists for every 1,000 commuters with a median commute time via bike of 22 minutes, and 12 mentions of bike storage per 1,000 rental listings, according to Zillow, a real estate website.

The figures led Zillow to put the city as the ninth most bike-friendly in the country behind top-ranked Seattle; Portland, Oregon; San Francisco, Washington, D.C.; Minneapolis, Chicago, New York and Boston.
