Registered NJ Sex Offender Charged With Luring 2 Girls

Authorities say a registered sex offender tried to lure two teenage girls into his pickup truck as he drove through a southern New Jersey community.

Lakewood police say 29-year-old Nicholas Ravailoi of Jackson faces luring and child endangerment charges. He's being held on $300,000 cash bail, and it wasn't known if he had retained an attorney.

Both incidents occurred Tuesday morning, about an hour apart, and involved girls ages 14 and 15.

In both instances, police say Ravailoi tried to lure the teens into his truck. But both girls ran away and told their parents, who called police.

Shortly after the second incident was reported, a Lakewood officer spotted Ravailoi's vehicle and arrested him.

Ravailoi was required to register as a sex offender due to a 2006 incident in Jackson.
