Rash of Burglaries in Evesham Township

Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with at least one of the break-ins.

Residents of a Burlington County community are on alert. Evesham Police say 41 homes have been burlgarized in Evesham Township in the last six months.

Police are now on the hunt for Keith Johnson, 32, who is wanted in connection with at least one of the break-ins.

Virginia Trimmer told NBC10's Rosemary Connors that burglars broke into her home through the garage two weeks ago, when no-one was home.

Trimmer says her daughter discovered they were the thieves latest target.

"She came in the house and she noticed the drawers were opened, things were thrown all over the place," said Trimmer.

Police say the burglars are after jewelry and money. Evesham Township resident Michelle Feeney says she and her husband decided to store their valuables at a relatives home in Philadelphia.

"We're both from Philly so we recently took our valuables into the homes we grew up in because we're afraid that we'll come home one day to find our house buglarized," Feeney says.

Police have stepped up patrols and they're on the lookout for Johnson and other burglary suspects.
