Rare Dime Sells for $1.84m in Philly

The ‘1873-CC No Arrows Liberty Seated’ dime was sold for $1.84 million during an event organized by the Stack’s Bowers Galleries, a local auction house.

A rare dime worth way more than 10 cents was sold Thursday night in Philadelphia. 

The ‘1873-CC No Arrows Liberty Seated’ dime was sold for $1.84 million during an event organized by the Stack’s Bowers Galleries, a local auction house. It was all part of the sale of the Battle Born Collection of Carson City Mint Coinage, one of the finest numismatic collections ever, according to Stack’s Bowers. 
 
The auction night was part of the American Numismatic Association’s World’s Fair of Money held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
