QVC Laying Off 100 in Pennsylvania, Sending Jobs Abroad: Report

West Chester-based televised home shopping network QVC is reportedly laying off 220 employees, including 100 who work in southeastern Pennsylvania.

PhillyMag.com reports QVC CFO Ted Jastrzebski told his employees on Wednesday that the job cuts, which also include 40 layoffs in the U.K., 70 in Germany and 10 in Italy, are connected to the local company's decision to move several departments, like HR and legal, to Poland.

The layoffs, expected to begin in January of next year, follow another staff reduction QVC took last fall. The company laid off more than 140 workers in November 2015.
