Project Shuts Down Jenkintown Road Through July

PennDOT announced today a that a water main will be replaced in the area.

A construction project to replace a water main in Abington Township will detour traffic in the area for several months.

PennDOT announced today that Jenkintown Road, between Cedar Road and Route 73, will be closed on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., starting on April 29. The project is expected to last until mid-July.

Traffic will be detoured over Cedar Road and Route 73. PennDOT advises drivers to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

The water main replacement is being done by Aqua Pennsylvania.
