Princeton Police Investigate Suspicious Letter

Police are investigating a suspicious letter that had a white, powdery substance inside that was
delivered to a Princeton Township business Monday.

Princeton Township Police Sgt. Michael Cifelli says people were exposed to the substance, but couldn't confirm how many.

It's not clear what the substance is.

Police are on the scene along with a hazardous materials team dispatched from Trenton.

In 2001, five people were killed when Anthrax-laced letters were mailed from a mailbox in Princeton to lawmakers and news organizations. Prosecutors were preparing to indict Army scientist Bruce Ivins for the attacks when he killed himself in 2008
