Power Back On at Trenton Mayor's Home

Mayor Tony Mack has reportedly paid off some of his debt to get power restored

The power is back on at Trenton Mayor Tony Mack's home, according to The Trentonian, who reported that PSE&G flipped the switch on after Mack paid 60 percent of his balance.

On Wednesday, his power was shut off due to non-payment. Sources tell the newspaper that the mayor owed approximately $15K in electric and gas bills.

His home on Berkeley Avenue in Trenton was raided by the FBI on July 18. A few hours after the raid, Mack stood outside his home and denied any wrong-doing. "We have not violated the public trust nor have I violated any of my public duties and that's all I have to say on the matter."

The homes of his brother Raphiel Mack and campaign contributor Joseph "JoJo" Giorgianni were raided the same night. A day later, FBI agents searched offices at Trenton City Hall.

The FBI is investigating for evidence of bribery, fraud, extortion and money laundering. During Mack's two years in office, he's been accused of cronyism and mismanagement.

Trenton business administrator Sam Hutchinson has stepped in as the acting mayor of Trenton.
