The outage also cut the power to several traffic lights including the ones at the intersection of 12th and Market streets.

A Center City power outage left several buildings in the dark, including City Hall.

The outage began impacting buildings in the area of Broad and Market streets around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. City Hall then lost power at 3:15 p.m. The District Attorney’s Office is also among the buildings without power.

The outage also cut the power to several traffic lights including the ones at the intersection of 12th and Market streets, leading to heavy traffic in Center City during the Tuesday evening rush.

PECO crews worked into the overnight hours to find the source of the outage.
