A police standoff in Pitman ended peacefully after five hours.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office says a man in a home on Columbia Avenue threatened to harm himself and refused to leave his home Tuesday.
Authorities negotiated with the man until he surrendered.
The man was taken to a hospital for observation and authorities have not decided whether to file charges against him.
His name has not been released.
