Police Seeking Owner of Wayward Python in NJ

Police in a northern New Jersey community are seeking the owner of a wayward python.

The 4-foot-long male snake was found curled up in the garage of a Millburn home around 11 a.m. Saturday.

Officers soon secured the snake without incident and notified the Turtleback Zoo in West Orange. Officials there then examined the snake and determined it was healthy.

It's not clear how the snake ended up in the garage, and its owner could not be immediately identified. So the snake was taken to police headquarters, where it will be cared for by an officer until its owner come forward.
