For the second time in recent months, police in Lancaster County say they are searching for the person responsible for shooting a cat with an arrow.
The Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era said the black-and-white cat was found near Lititz. Officials say she had emergency surgery Monday and should be fine.
Lancaster County SPCA director Susan Martin said the arrow entered the cat's left breast under the shoulder and exited near the rump. No major arteries were hit.
Martin believes the cat is someone's pet because she's calm in and good condition. If an owner doesn't step forward, she'll be put up for adoption.
In December, a cat was shot in the head with an arrow outside a home 25 miles from Lititz, in Bainbridge. It underwent surgery and survived.
