Police Search for Wallet-Stealing Duo

The women distracted the victim and made off with her wallet.

Aston police are asking the public for assistance in tracking down two women who teamed up to lift another shopper’s wallet Saturday afternoon at Giant Food Store on Concord Road.

Mona Kazem was in the frozen food section around 4 p.m. to grab a pizza when a woman approached and asked for her opinion on some of the frozen pies. She then asked Kazem to hand her three pizza.

While the first suspect kept the victim distracted, a second woman moved in to steal the wallet.

"That's what you get for being nice to people," Kazem told NBC Philadelphia.

Surveillance video captured the entire incident and also showed both suspects ditching their carts and exiting the parking lot together in a silver SUV.

Police say the suspects then headed to the local Wawa and used Kazem's debit card to purchase hundreds of dollars worth of the store's gift cards.

Both suspects are described as black females. The first woman is 5-feet-9-inches about 250 pounds. The second suspect is about 5-feet-6 inches tall, 180 pounds. Both women were wearing all white. One had a tattoo on her forearm.

"I really don’t appreciate it…and, God is watching. That’s all I can tell her," says the victim.

Anyone with information is urged to call Aston police.
