Police Search for Missing Del. Couple

The Schmidt's were expected at Christmas dinner but never arrived

Delaware State Police issued a Gold Alert for a missing couple, last known to be traveling from Greenville to Marion, Pa.

State troopers were contacted at 7:00 p.m. and initiated an investigation and search for a Greenville couple that were traveling from the Stonegates Retirement Community in Greenville, to their daughter’s residence in Marion, Pennsylvania for Christmas dinner, but never arrived. 

Erling and Angelina Schmidt were last contacted at the Stonegates Retirement Community at 2:00 p.m. with a normal drive time to their destination of 25-30 minutes.   The couple driving in a 2002 Volvo S60 Sedan, gray in color, DE Registration #209148.

Erling Schmidt, 89, is a white male, 6'0, 165 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes.
Angelina Schmidt, 84, is a white female, 5'3, 107 pounds, with gray hair and hazel eyes.

Troopers have been unable to locate the couple and there is a concern for their safety and welfare.
