Philadelphia Police are investigating a string of burglaries at businesses in Rittenhouse Square.

The owner of the Metropolitan Bakery and Cafe tells NBC10's Nefertiti Jaquez that her business was targeted during the overnight hours.

"He threw the rock through the front door," says Wendy Bourn. "It upsets me that someone would be that desperate and a bakery doesn't generate that much money."

Bourn isn't alone. At least four businesses in that area have been broken into and police are trying to figure out if the same criminals are behind all these burglaries.

Bourn says she refuses to let this burglar get the best of her, and tells NBC10 she is using the rock that was tossed through her window as a door stop.

"Turn a negative into a positive. Why not? Life is tough," said Bourn.
