Police: Girlfriend Joins Pa. Boyfriend in Jail

A Pittsburgh-area woman has joined her boyfriend in jail after authorities say they overheard the two discussing plans to eliminate a witness.

Homestead police say 25-year-old Isiah Tooks of North Versailles was arrested on July 31 and charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping and robbery. Tooks allegedly forced a man to go to an ATM and withdraw money at gunpoint.

Authorities say Tooks then made phone calls from jail to 38-year-old Spring King, of Munhall. Tooks allegedly told King to make sure the witness to the earlier robbery didn't show up to testify. King allegedly replied "What do you want me to do, go shoot him, Isiah?''

King was arrested Friday and is being held in the Allegheny County Jail, unable to post $1 million bond.
