Police Arrest Woman in SEPTA Bus Attack: SEPTA

Police say they arrested a woman caught on surveillance video attacking a passenger on a SEPTA bus.

Police arrested the woman caught on camera attacking a man on a SEPTA bus, according to SEPTA.

On May 31 at 2:25 p.m. a woman boarded the SEPTA Route 23 bus on the 5700 block of Germantown Avenue. Surveillance video shows the woman briefly sitting down before getting up. She is then seen walking towards a man seated on the bus and then slapping and punching him in the head. Police say she then exited the bus at Germantown and Chelten Avenue and fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Police identified the woman as 49-year-old Cassie Darby of Philadelphia. SEPTA Police say they arrested Darby today while she was walking near 3100 Chestnut Street.

Darby is charged with simple assault and reckless endangerment of another person.
