3 Arrested in Abington Armed Robbery

Robbed victim of money, keys at gunpoint

Abington Police have arrested two adults and a juvenile after an armed robbery Friday evening.

It happened shortly after 9 p.m., when police say a man driving his car was flagged down by two males near the intersection of Patane and Arline Avenues in Roslyn. When the man pulled over to see what the two wanted, a third male appeared and pointed a shotgun at the driver's head.

Police say the suspects took the victim's keys and money before fleeing the scene.

A few hours later, police arrested 18-year-old Terrell Ross of the 1400 block of Edgewood Avenue, along with a 16-year-old juvenile who lives in Philadelphia. While pursuing Ross and the juvenile, police found a pump-action shotgun with the handle sawed off inside a barbecue grill.

Police arrested the third suspect, 18-year-old Leon Wardlaw-Liggins of Philadelphia, near the intersection of Patane Avenue and Easton Road. All three suspects were identified by the victim as the group who had robbed them.

Ross and Wardlaw-Liggins are awaiting arraignment on charges of robbery, terroristic threats, criminal conspiracy, prohibited offensive weapons, and related charges. The juvenile was remanded to Montgomery County Juvenile authorities.
