    Police Arrest Man for Strawberry Mansion Attack

    Keith McNealy, 30, was arrested Thursday, June 2, 2011 and charged with rape, aggravated assault, burglary, unlawful restraint and other related offenses.

    Philadelphia police arrested a man in connection with the attack of a teen in her home in the Strawberry Mansion section of the city early Thursday.

    Police say that 30-year-old Keith McNealy gained access to the home on the 3000 block of Fontain Street through an open first floor window around 3:30 a.m.

    According to authorities, McNealy attempted to sexually assault the 17-year-old victim, but she was able to fight him off.

    The teen was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries she sustained during the struggle.

    McNealy is charged with rape, aggravated assault, burglary and other related charges.

    Police want to remind residents that first floor windows should be locked, especially at night, because open windows make homes more vulnerable to break-ins.
