Police Arrest Alleged “HIV” Needle Robber
    Delaware State Police

Police arrested the man who has been allegedly robbing local stores by threatening store employees with a hypodermic needle he claims was infected with the HIV virus.

Kevin Cox, 37, was arrested by Delaware state police Friday afternoon. Though police did not release details of the arrest, more information will be given later tonight.

Cox hit two businesses in Glenn Mills, Pa., just outside of Philadelphia and another in Rehoboth Beach, Del. in the past week, police say.

In each case, Cox walks into a business that has a lone female working, confronts them with the needle, tells them he has HIV and then demands cash, according to authorities.

Surveillance cameras captured one of the robberies at a tanning salon and police were able to get a good description.

Cox is being held at Troop 2 in Glasgow.
