Police Nab Possible Suspect in CC, Univ. City Attacks

Philadelphia Police are looking into the possibility that a Philadelphia man, who was arrested in connection with sexual assaults at Lock Haven University, may be responsible for attacks in Center City and University City, according to Special Victims police.

23-year-old Domenique Thomas Wilson is currently in custody near Lock Haven, Pa. charged with rape and other charges.

Wilson is being looked at as the possible attacker in a December 2008 robbery and rape of a 22-year-old woman on the 4400 block of Spruce Street in University City and two October attacks in Center City -- one on a 25-year-old woman and her boyfriend in the 900 block of Clinton Street and another attempted assault at 12th and Lombard Streets, according to police sources.

He was arraigned Thursday and faces 35 criminal charges -- including three counts of rape -- stemming from a Super Bowl Sunday sexual assault of three female Lock Haven University students, according to Lock Haven police.

During that incident Wilson, a former Lock Haven basketball player, allegedly held the women against their will for hours. During that time he reportedly sexually assaulted two women and threatened the women with a knife, according to police.

Wilson also allegedly stole the women's ATM cards and withdrew money, said police.

The nature of the incidents has Philly police investigating. The manner of the incidents seems similar -- the attacker uses a knife, bonds the victims with duct tape, steals ATM cards and phones.

Philly SVU plan to make DNA comparisons to see if they can link Wilson to the Philadelphia incidents, said police.

Wilson was arrested last Friday in Lock Haven on an unrelated outstanding warrant from 2007.

He has been denied bail, according to a report in "The Express" of Lock Haven.
