Thieves Buy Cigarettes, Candy with Cloned Credit Cards at Wawa: Police

Police are searching for two men who they believe broke into a woman’s Plymouth Township home, cloned her credit cards and then bought hundreds of dollars’ worth of cigarettes and candy from a Wawa store.

Police say the unidentified men went into an unlocked home in Plymouth Township back on Sept. 22. Police believe the men then took the homeowner’s credit cards while she and her children were sleeping, cloned the cards and then left the original cards behind.

The suspects then went into a Wawa store in Whitemarsh Township where they used the cloned credit cards to buy hundreds of dollars’ worth of cigarettes and candy, police said. One of the suspects was spotted on surveillance video eating sour patch kids, according to investigators.

Police say the men were also spotted on video walking in several other towns the morning of Sept. 22 and fear that they may have stolen from other victims.
