Deadly NJ House Blaze Leaves Firefighter Hurt

Investigators are trying to determine what caused a fire in Pleasantville that claimed the life of at least one person.

Firefighters arrived on the scene of the one-story home on Doughty Road at 3:15 a.m. Friday.

WMGM-TV reports the blaze was extinguished after little more than 15 minutes, but the home sustained extensive damage.

The name of the victim has not been released.

A firefighter was injured, but the extent of the injuries is not believed to be life-threatening.
