Man Pistol Whipped in His Home

Armed men burst into a home overnight and attacked a man inside before making off with cash.

Four men, at least one armed, stormed into a home on the 6100 block of Trinity Street in Southwest Philadelphia around 1:30 a.m. Friday after a family member inside the home opened the door, according to Philadelphia Police.

During the home invasion one of the suspects pistoled whipped a man in his 30s. The man was later hospitalized in stable condition with an injury to his head.

After the attack the men fled the home with $1,500 cash, according to police.

There was no description given of the suspects and no motive given for the burglary or attack.
