Murder Charge for NoLibs Shooting Suspect

Deadly shooting happened after an argument outside PYT at the Piazza at Schmidt's

A 22-year-old Philadelphia man is charged with murder in the shooting death of an Upper Darby man outside a popular Northern Liberties bar last month.

Besides murder, Steven Miller faces reckless endangerment and weapons charges in the June 11 killing of Marice Kimble outside PYT at the Piazza at Schmidt's, the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office said Thursday.

U.S. Marshals arrested Miller June 26 in Texas.

Police say Miller shot Kimble twice in the chest after an argument that started outside the PYT restaurant on Hancock Street.

Miller was arraigned Wednesday night and held without bail. His next court date is scheduled for July 25, according to court records.
