Phish Drummer Jon Fishman to Appear at Bernie Sanders Voter Events in Philadelphia Sunday and Monday

Jon Fishman, drummer of the rock band Phish, will appear at a number of voter registration events in Philadelphia for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

Fishman is slated to hold a voter registration meet-and-greet at CineMug, on Broad Street near Tasker in South Philadelphia, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, according to Sanders' website's events page.

He'll appear again at 4 p.m. Monday at Philly Sweettooth at 4th and Bainbridge in Queen Village, and then at North Bowl on 2nd Street near Poplar in Northern Liberties from 9 p.m. until midnight on Monday, the Sanders campaign said.

Fishman will meet Sanders supporters and encourage people to register to vote for the upcoming Pennsylvania primary on April 26 and general election. The deadline to register for the Pennsylvania primary is Monday.

The 51-year-old musician is a Philadelphia native and has performed with Phish since 1983.

The event comes on the heels of the Sanders campaign's opening of a Philadelphia office. The local campaign headquarters opened Saturday along East Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia.
