Local Boston Market Restaurants Become ‘Philly Market' in Honor of Eagles

It’s part of a lighthearted game of one-upmanship between Philly and Boston ahead of the Super Bowl matchup between the Eagles and Patriots.

The war of words between Philly and Boston continued Sunday with local Boston Market restaurants joining the fight by changing their name to “Philly Market” instead.

Last week, Philly’s Museum of the American Revolution temporarily renamed its “Patriots Gallery” the “Eagles Gallery.” Also in Philly, Dottie’s Donuts is refusing to make its Boston cream confection, even though it’s a best-seller. Instead, the vegan shop is selling “The Creamed Boston,” which is covered in Eagles green.

Not to be outdone, in Boston, one park has banned the sale of cheesesteaks, soft pretzels and the wearing of any Philadelphia sports paraphernalia.
