Philly Man Gets 15 Years for Planned Drug Heist

A Philadelphia man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in a plan to rob a drug stash house in New Jersey.

A federal judge imposed sentence on Ralph Dennis Friday in Camden. Dennis and another man were convicted of robbery conspiracy and conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

Prosecutors contended the 35-year-old Dennis and 37-year-old Terrance Hardee planned to rob the house in Camden in 2012 in order to sell the stolen drugs. Both men were allegedly recorded talking about the plot. Federal agents arrested the pair in July 2012 in Maple Shade in possession of a gun, gloves and zip ties.

Hardee, also of Philadelphia, awaits sentencing.
