Philly Cops in Car Crash While Chasing Suspect

Both officers were takent to Temple University Hospital with serious injuries

Two Philadelphia Police officers are in the hospital after a car crash in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia.

It happened while the officers were pursuing a suspect in a stolen vehicle, police say.

The officers crashed their car at Broad Street and West Hunting Park Avenue. The male suspect was later apprehended at 16th and Wingohocking.

The two officers were taken to Temple University Hospital with serious injuries.

Officials say that the driver of the police cruiser suffered injuries to his head, neck and right knee. The passenger suffered two possible broken legs and a possible broken arm.

None of the injuries to both officers are life threatening and both officers are in stable condition.
