Philadelphia Retailer Sells $1 Million Winning Powerball Ticket

A Philadelphia check cashing retailer sold a winning Powerball ticket worth $1 Million to the owner, officials announced Monday.

Wilson's Check Cashing, located along the 1200 block of East Susquehanna Street in Fishtown, sold the winning Powerball ticket for the Saturday night drawing.

The winning ticket, officials said, matched all all five white balls: 16-19-32-34-57, but not the red Powerball (13). Wilson's Check Cashing will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

This isn't the first time a Philly retailer has been lucky, the Sunoco on Cottman Avenue near Algon sold a winning ticket worth $1 Million for the drawing on Wednesday, December 30th.

There was no word, yet on the identities of either million dollar winners.

Across the commonwealth, lottery officials said there were seven winning tickets worth $150,000.

Lottery officials encouraged all ticketholders to check your tickets.
