Two Philadelphia Police officers are recovering after they were involved in a car accident in the Germantown section of the city Tuesday night.
The 35th District officers were traveling on the 2100 block of W Laveer Street at 8:54 p.m. during a routine patrol when their vehicle was struck by a 2014 white Chevy Impala traveling eastbound on Laveer.
Investigators say the Impala ran a stop sign before striking the police vehicle.
One officer suffered a laceration to the forehead while another suffered knee pains. They were both taken to Albert Einstein Hospital where they are both in stable condition.
A driver and passenger inside the Impala were also taken to Albert Einstein for an evaluation.
No arrests have been made in connection to the crash.
