What's North Carolina's loss is Philadelphia's gain. A Main Line company has relocated its annual meeting to Philadelphia from North Carolina following a controversial bill passed in that state in March.
Wayne, Pa.-based B Lab will be holding its annual Champions Retreat in Philadelphia on Oct. 18-20. It was originally slated to take place in North Carolina this year.
Plans changed after the state in March passed House Bill 2, or HB 2, that added a statewide ban in which people must use public bathrooms corresponding with the gender on his or her birth certificate, rather than the one they identify with.
