Philadelpha Man Shot, Killed in Wilmington

Second man wounded; suspect still at large

Police in New Castle County, Del. are investigating the shooting death of a Philadelphia man in Ardentown Friday night.

Investigators say that 25-year-old Dayvon Neal, of the 700 block of East 11th Street, was found suffering from gunshot wounds in front of a house in the 1700 block of Apple Tree Lane shortly after 9:30 p.m. Neal was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police later discovered a 24-year-old Philadelphia man suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body near the intersection of Harvey Road and Loreley Lane. He was observed fleeing the scene of the shooting by witnesses. That man, whose name has not been released, was treated at Wilmington Hospital for his injury.

Authorities say that whoever is responsible for the shooting is still at large. No description of any suspect has been released.
