Family, friends and colleagues gathered Friday to pay their final respects to a Philadelphia police officer killed earlier in the week.
Officer Marc Brady was riding his bike in East Mount Airy on July 15th, when he was struck by a car driven by the boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend. Brady died the next day. He was off-duty at the time of the accident.
The driver, Kareem Alleyene, is charged with homicide by vehicle and manslaughter.
Investigators say there was bad blood between the two men. Officer Brady had children with Alleyene's girlfriend.
Brady was an eight year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department assigned to the 22nd Police District.. He was 32-years old.
