A person is recovering after an accident on Girard Avenue.
It happened Tuesday around 6:30 a.m. near the Exit 23 off-ramp to I-95. Police say a person was struck by a car, suffering a broken leg and a head injury. Police have not yet revealed the person's condition. The striking vehicle did not flee the scene. Police also say it was not a DUI.
I-95 southbound was closed at Girard Avenue/Exit 23 after the crash. It has since been reopened.
